When nature is a spectacle
Only a few steps from the door of our hotel, you can admire all of these things from your room: Lake Garda, which is surrounded by historic villages you can visit on a leisurely tour, not to forget Limone and Malcesine.
Lake Garda is the largest lake, but around Torbole you can discover other smaller lakes, which are smaller, but just as spectacular as Lake Garda: this is certainly the case with the enchanting Lake Tenno, with its turquoise waters and the wild Ledro Lake, with its prehistoric stilts, as well as the haunting and absolutely fascinating Loppio Lake.
The rural villages have remained exactly as they were in the past, fascinating visitors who come to absorb the unique atmosphere which has been lost elsewhere: of particular note is the medieval village of Dorfes Canale di Tenno and Rango
The spectacular scenery of the Brenta Dolomites, with its massive white towers, which sour from the green meadows and forests, is only an hour’s drive from our hotel. Here, you will discover wild places of exceptional beauty that can be reached on the many high-altitude hikes and ski lifts. Places you will always remember.
The Dolomites are the perfect place for climbing, hiking and downhill biking.

One of the most scenic mountains around Torbole is surely Monte Altissimo. At an altitude of 2,078 m the surrounding meadows are home to ancient plant species that bloom spectacularly in spring and offer the visitor a 360 ° view over the entire Lake Garda.
You can quickly reach the rural landscapes of the Val di Gresta, between wide cultivated fields and small villages, by e-bike or by car. Pleasant paths through the landscape lead you to discover breath taking panoramas, from which you can marvel at the Adige Valley, with views from Trento to Rovereto. Here you can buy potatoes and sauerkraut directly from farmers of the Gresta Valley, who are known throughout Trentino.
On a pleasant walk along the lake promenade, you can visit the lively and vibrant centre of Riva del Garda from our Hotel in Torbole, which is full of shops, boutiques, nightclubs, restaurants and ice cream parlours. Don’t miss the harbour area with its mighty fortress, which is only connected to the mainland by bridge: here is the seat of MAG, Museum of Obergrada, where you can dive into prehistory, history and art. Experience the thrill of riding on the transparent lift, which takes you from the historic hydroelectric power station of Riva to the panoramic bastion.
You can also visit the town of Arco by car or bike, climb the high cliffs, where old olive trees grow between the castle ruins, go for a walk in the arboretum in the Archduke’s Park, or visit the Palazzo dei Panni and marvel at the paintings of the famous painter of the Alps, Giovanni Segantini.
If you want to walk a bit further, there is Trento with the Buonconsiglio Castle, the cathedral with the Diocesan Museum, the underground archaeological space of the SAS and the innovative interactive science museum, the MuSe!
The surroundings of Torbole are a paradise for sports enthusiasts.
Climbing enthusiasts know the artificial gymnasium in Arco, where the annual Rock Master Festival takes place, and also the countless natural rock faces in the Valle dei Laghi, which is closed in by the lunar landscape of the Marocche di Dro.
Along the Sarca River, you can fish with different techniques, although “No Kill” zones have been established at some places to protect the local fauna.
There is a wonderful cycle path along the Sarca River, which starts in Torbole and ends in Terlago, a village not far from Trento. You can rent a bike directly from our hotel.
